Alright, I have two females that started laying this week. Both of them laid out side of their lay box and on the bottom on the tub. What can I do to encourage them to lay in the moist box. It is has proper humidity and moss for a substrate, which is what they laid in last year.
The set from the first female seemed okay. One is candeling pink and the other half pink and half yellow with veins. I checked them again to day and It has pinkened up a bit since I checked them Saturday.
Now the accident. The other female laid inside her dry hide and when I picked up the hide to check to see if they were in there, one of the eggs was stuck to the rim of the hide and was dangling vertically from the hide! Fortunately, it didn't fall! I immediately, and carefully, plucked it off and laid it down in its original position.
I pretty much killed this one, huh? Is there any hope it will be okay?
Also, I am temping for males. I have my incubator ranging from 89-91 degress? Is that good, or too hot?
Thanks for any input!
