I almost used my 29 gallon tank for an axolotl. But we have a leo now.

sorry. they all hatched. I ended up with like 50/50 wild type and yellow albinos. I changed them to a different tank, and was unable to get any decent pics after that. The tank was also too complected, and they werent able to eat the food I was putting in, then it was hard to clean them. I think they all pretty much starved to death, which is sad, but there wasnt a lot more I could have done. I plan to separate my sexes in the future so I dont get eggs again, as they are highly illegal in CA. something I didnt realize.
I find it fascinating and an albino can start off as an egg with melanin pigment, and then loose it through devolopment. I may have a few pictures still laying around here of further along the process, however I have been busy lately and I dont know when I will have the time to dig them up and sort/edit
them.
