Eggs stuck to the bottom of lay box.

One of my females eggs were stuck to the bottom of the lay box and stuck to each other. I have had this happen before but I have always been able to slowly break them free from the lay box. I know to leave the eggs stuck together so I didn't worry about that.

While I was unattaching the first egg from the lay box some of the outter skin/shell of the egg tore off. The egg is not leaking but I'm worried as the egg matures it might split.

Is this something to worry about or is there something I can put on the outside of egg for reinforcement? Any help will be greatly appreciated :D

If the second egg is still stuck to the bottom of the box (couldn’t tell if it was or not) try spraying some water near it, and let that go under the egg. It always seems to loosen it up a bit for me.

And this thread had a similar situation to the one you’re in: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=24468

It took me forever to find it, so read it :main_laugh:

Thanks for the thread. My egg hasn't any fluids coming out of it but I will keep a close eye on it and if it does split I will try the paper towel bandage.

If that egg does end up splitting, don't underestimate the abilities of a simple bandaid! I can't remember where I heard it from, but someone once had a leaky ball python egg, slapped a bandaid on it, and the egg hatched with no problems.
