Eggs

I’ve started cutting open a lot of non-hatched eggs and have noticed either the forming of blood vessels, or in some cases a partially formed fetus. Actually all but 2 of the eggs I have cut open have one or the other (have cut about 30 eggs at this point). I know this isn’t normal to have this many, or I believe it not to be. But I was curious how often does this happen, and is anybody else having this happen.

Two possibiities I can think of: either your supplementation is off and the eggs are only borderline viable, or something is off with the incubation method (humidity, temp fluctuation). It could be something else; maybe someone can think what.

My supplementation is Calcium with D3 made by repti-cal, which is left in a bowl at all times, so they can supplement themselves when needed.

Here is what I use as incubators. http://www.bigappleherp.com/Big-Apple-Safety-Hatch-Reptile-Incubator it comes with a thermostat that keeps the temperature constant.

My incubation method is the one suggestion in RT’s book, which is similar to Albey’s method.

Thanks for the response, I’m open to all other ideas, or suggestions.
