Well, curiosity conquered fear so my daughter, EJ, held a spider for the first time tonight. I had her put her hand out and let the pink toe just walk over her and I took her back. Next thing I knew, she had her and wouldn't give her back!
So, of course, I had to get photo evidence.

Thanks!
Shes been telling all her friends about holding the little spider and has become the local "spider advocate" to the "uninformed." LOL Its kinda cute.
Now shes trying to gather up the nerve to hold our big Honduran Curly Hair. :main_thumbsup:

Oh they're not so bad. Once you start to understand them, they really are interesting creatures.

Truly, they are wonderful creatures! I'm glad your daughter got her courage up and held the pink-toe. I used to have one that would jump like a crested gecko...lol. The first time I held her, she leaped onto my shirt and ran up to my neck...I screamed so loud my roommates thought I was being attacked...lol. :)

LOL! Well, she is really relaxed with EJ and just slowly travels all over her. Me, on the other hand... No one warned me about the "Avicularia Super Soaker."
I bet she could take an eye out at 10 paces!!:main_rolleyes:
