Emergency Question!!!

My rescued female Leo has been in her humid hide since last nite its now 6:00 PM She shedded last night. She looks like she is pushing out eggs, but I really dont know, she looks really tierd.

Any Advice? Is this normal>

She is doing nothing except sit in her humid hide. She has already shedded. This will be day 2 she has not come out. She is normally ALWAYS stitting on her heating pad under her log, ( she is also very large (round) ) Do leos normally shed before they lay?

Yes the previous owner said 2 weeks before Thanksgiving!

Flip her over and if you see an egg on each side of her belly, she is indeed ready to lay. Believe me, you'll know if she's ready.

Give her a laybox to lay the eggs in if she is.

I have already flipped her over, she is indeed eggbound. She is in her lay box as of now..

Just wanted to know if leos shed before they lay their eggs? As she did last night!

I just saw the pictures you posted of her back on the 12th and she didn't look very big then so I wouldn't worry too much about her being egg bound yet. Just leave her alone and check for eggs every morning. I'm sure she'll lay soon. We've had females that literally looked like they were about to burst right before they laid.

When my girls laid their eggs, I check on them 6-10x's a day. Every time when I looked and no geckos were in the hide, I would pick the hide up and check it for eggs. It drove my wife nuts :main_laugh: She was like You spend more time looking after those geckos then me. She is really cool with it now and jokes too her co-workers that while most men look at nakid women that I will watch geckos lmao.
