Well...we got one yesterday in Hamm!
She is a very sweet looking gecko...but, yeehh I think I could have got something more "spectaculare" for that kind of money.
I am a bit disapointed :(
But we all do mistake now and then...
I haven´t taken any pics of her yet, but as soon as I do I will post you one.

since the "green" is a product of light difracted through multiple layers of pigments, it looks very different depending on the lighting situation. The 'green' we see is essentially an illusion...As an exploratory hot glass artist, I've discovered a thing or 2 about light and color ;)

That's interesting because I was actually a lot more pleased with mine that I was expecting to be (to be honest, my expectations weren't particularly high). I'll try to get photos of her at some point. Yours is a nice gecko :main_thumbsup:

Hmmmmmmm, I don't quite know what to say, it is a nice animal for sure but like you said for that kind of money.........

It's because you bought it as a Emerine from the creator that I would believe you but other than that, it could also go as a Hypo with a bit more extreme colour. :main_huh:

Henrik and Lotta,

she's pretty but I will have to say if I put her on hold and picked her up and saw that she wasn't green...I would've been dissapointed. :( Don't get me wrong, she's VERY pretty, but we have a tangerine that has more green then her. :(

She's very pretty though! :)

They cost from about 500 to 1750 dollars...ours wasn´t one of the most expensive, her price was with shipping 850 dollars.

I have been taken pics in different light today...but there isn´t much that looks different...

Without flash in photo tent...

Without flash in the window...

Without flash outside in a plasticbox...

plastboxuteutanblixt.jpg

Without flash in a plasticbox inside with some light from outside (LOL)...

Without flash in a darker spot inside...

And with flash in the phototent...

But the advice from the seller is "to see the full, actual, color of a gecko, place it in a plastic tub and walk outside into the shade of a doorway for a moment and you will see a 30% increase in intensity over viewing the gecko indoors and not in full-spectrum lighting conditions, in which the website photos were taken"

I haven´t tried that yet...outside in the shade, hmmm and wait for a moment.
I will when the wether is a little better...

I also made a compare with how my Rainbows looked like before breeding and when they still was a bit young...they are green!
