Enigma/albino feeding problem...

Hey all you pros out there. :) I've got another question for you. Our enigma albino seems to have a really hard time seeing his food and catching it. Is this normal? I should also say that he doesn't show any "enigma" problems, circling, head shake, etc. We have been leaving 7 large mealies in a bowl for him, but he hasn't eaten any. I finally decided to grab chopsticks and stick them RIGHT in front of him. He misses probably 60% of the lunges but finally gets them. Will he ever eat out of the bowl? I tried bringing each worm closer to the bowl and showing him where they are...but i don't think he get's it. Any chance superworms will be easier for him to see and catch?

Thanks for all of your help guys and gals!!! :main_yes:

I have a number of geckos who are poor hunters. I do find that superworms work well because they're easy to see and don't move too quick. You can also try holding a worm by the end or a cricket by the leg so they can catch it. Some geckos never become good bowl eaters; I have quite a number of those. Also, try feeding in dim light if you're not already doing that; it may be best for the albino aspect.

Thanks Aliza, I really appreciate your help in these forums! I tried out the dim light and it definitely helped. I got a pack of 25 superworms (large) and i think they are just too big for them. My geckos are about 20 grams and the other is about 30 grams. These worms make me nervous with how big they are, i left one in the bowl...we'll se if the 20g female ate it in the morning. If not I think I'll just take it out.

Much appreciated,

Wick :)

My male raptor has bad aim. I held 3 super worms and a large cricket right infront of his face. He missed each one 3 times before he got them. The light was dim also.
I think the albino aspect messes with their eyesight some.
