So it's been a few years since the enigma was introduced. I"m wondering WHERE are the Enigmas that AREN"T het for an albino strain?
AND why are they mostly BELL's ?
AND why are the Trempers SO expensive still?
AND why am I seeing lots of breeders offering E's with more than one albino strain as a het? IS it because they were trying to prove out an E, and HAD to breed it to SEE what it was? OR does the E act differently and you CAN cross the albino strains? Does it matter, does any one care? I've always read that a double albino het leo wasn't really desirable.

SO many questions, so little time! NO thats not true, I'm in between jobs right now, so EXPECT MORE!.....lol....

ALSO who has the oldest E ? what have you learned about the morph from yours?

Thanks guys!

The enigma came from Mark and Kim Bells geckos..thast why they are mostly Bells. The bell enigma has been available longer than the others. Non het enigmas are more rare, because you do have to test breed to confirm your enigma isnt het for somthing crazy..well the originals at least lol. Im sure somone else will have a much more informative post, but i hit on the main questions you had.

woops,

I was in such a hurry when I read this that I mis read!

and then mis-replied........lol.....

sorry, yes, I've read LOTS of threads about the E's, some of them help, some don't.

NO one has a pic of a non het E?

AND if you have one, whats the history of that? Did you breed it? did it come to you that way? How many generations did it take to prove it out? Did you find anything interesting about it, while trying to prove it out?

I have an enigma that I got in Hamm from Gekko Galasken. She's non albino and an unknown het. Shes from and Enigma and SHTCB pairing (if I remember correctly). I don't plan on proving her out to be any hets, although I do plan to pair her with my RAPTOR and Mack Snow Tremper next season. If she's het for Bell then it will be bred out, I have no Bell albinos :)

Here she is. I've only had her a week but already I've noticed that she changes colour on her head and tail. Sometimes shes white/grey and other times shes quite lilac :)

ooooooooo

THANKS, that's pretty!

From what I know, and have seen, I would guess that she has some blizz or patty in there somewhere, the speckles and color changing something that they would contribute to.

I have a female that looks simular, I just got her form concrete jungle (thanks again guys) Mel proved her out NOT to be tremper, but other than that no one knows what she is. I'm still not sure what I'll breed her too this yr. Unless I get my hands on a tremper Enigma. I'll post pics of her soon!!!

Any one else got pics????

Danielle, I don't think that the hets have anything to do with how the gecko looks on the outside. Not even with enigmas.

I may have a non het. I'm not sure. I'll be testing her when she's a bit older. She may or may not be het tremper. Can't wait to find out. Ha.

Well, maybe someone else can chime in on the blizz het thing, but I KNOW that i've seen speckly SS's that have blizz in them. That may just be coincidence, but i'd like to think (hope!) that has something to do with it.

crossing fingers, cause i've got LOTS of BB mack & Enigma stuff planned for next yr!!!
