Hi,
I admit i was a little worried about putting our new hatchling on as i am aware that a few don't like you to cross the albino strains, however when i asked the question as to what would be best to put my enigma too i was told any morph, so i hope you will all like him for what he is.
The sibling egg did not hatch and so i decided to slit the egg just to see if it was a normal or not, the hatchling was dead but completely different to it's brother, it was much bigger, mainly white with lemon tinges and black/brown spotting, i didn't think to take a pic and i wished i had now but i was surprised to have two enigmas from the pair of eggs and even more surprised to see they looked so differnt, is this normal thing to expect?

this is him a few days old

Melane, I don't think anyone's going to attack you for crossing them. :)

That is a VERY pretty hatchling and I can't wait to see it when it's bigger.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what happened to the other baby. It's a shame that you lost it. I would have loved to see it as well.

Absolutely gorgeous baby! Congrats! Please, keep us updated on that one! :main_yes:

Have no idea about the other. I think sometimes they just don't make it and there is no simple rhyme or reason. Sorry for your loss.

Is it normal for two enigmas both hatched from the pair of eggs laid to look so differnt from one another by the way?:main_huh:

yes the orange has already intensified in such a short space of time, i'm hoping it continues also this is our first enigma hatchling and so although we know there are dramic changes in colour we have not witnessed it first hand until now.

lets just say these enigmas are definatly worth all the hype lol, my hubby is like a kid in the sweetshop when he checks in on the incubator in the morning lol, infact i think he's probably more excited with the enigma eggs than with me who is 6 months pregnant with our 6th child lol:main_laugh:
