ENIGMAS?????

guys im not eally sure what enigmas are so can someone let me know what they are and what morphs make them?

The Enigmas have yet to be fully proven out as far as their potential and their "combinability" factor.

enigma is a special morph of its own. It came out of nowhere in mark bells stock. It isnt a combination of anything. If you had an enigma you would know it

...and I have to ask if the first ones came from Kelli, I think it's only her lines we should call Enigma. If this is "Kelli's morph" It's the same with Enigma as it is with morphs like Urban's Tornado and AM's Hyglos (for example).

That is an extremely bad idea. It's bad enough their are 3 different names for Super Hypo Albinos. It just adds to the confusion. Stick with one name, so no one thinks it's different (when it's not). It shouldn't matter who's producing them, they're all the same thing.

I agree, it will just create confusion throughout the community. The only thing that should be done is have it labeled as Enigma from Mark Bell Line or Enigma from Kelli's Line

i think you can put a different name at your bloodline if you create something with really big differences...so...i don't think will be a good idea put a different name for all little difference ...but different name for geckos with the same genetic is ok for me if they are different...and is more better working with specific gockos from specific bloodline and specific name...
working with animals need a godd knowledge of genetic...know the difference from an TUG sunglow or a A&M Hyglow is a good way to a more better selection (if you know the bloodlines you know what do you need for improve your quality)

These popped out of Mark Bell's lines, and that is who Kelli got them from. Kelli named them "Enigmas" and has been working with them for a better part of '06, to determine their genetics for Mark. To call either different at this point wouldn't work cause they are the same. Now when Kelli starts showing off some of the crosses she's made, that I'm sure she's not telling anyone about then I'm sure she will name them as well, which would only be right.

They are one in the same. Enigmas were first produced my Mark Bell, but Kelli is now working with them BIG TIME. Kelli is starting to do amazing things with Enigmas.

I think you might have the wrong idea, you cant compair an enigma to anything like that, because its not something specially breed, you can think of an enigma compared to a blizzard, or a patternless, or something like that. It isnt a mixture of genes, its just 1 mutation. It was actully produced by Mark Bell. He breeds thousands apon thousands of geckos each year, and the enigmas just happen to pop out of one of his colonys. I doubt anyone else has an enigma, because no one knows what actully makes an enigma, just like no one realy knows how blizzards patternless and albinos came about. So about what to call an Enigma and what not to, an Enigma is an Enigma no matter who produced it, because they all came from the same origin, Mark Bells stock

Mark Bells line and Kellis line are the same.... Kelli got hers from Mark Bell

No, they are dominant. The red eyed ones are just double homozygous bell enigmas
