Ever had this happen to you?

I just set up one tank of my geckos with a heat mat and I've forund three eggs in the past day. All of them were layed outside of the laying box and they had huge dents in them I had to trhow all of them out. Does this have anything to do with the heat mat.

I have 7 geckos laying and one of them, who has had 2 successful seasons has laid her first 2 clutches outside the lay box. She's with the same male and female as last year. I think it just happens sometimes.

make sure your lay box is moist, they will lay wherever they think is best
