eh mine does that with mealies (she'd much rather stomp on them than eat them). If it can't get out of the bowl I'd say just leave it there until your leo decides to take a bite :)

These things sound disgusting but I am sure they are good for the leos! What age do you start feeding them these things? My gecko is only 6 months old, FYI.

They come in all sizes from Pinhead Cricket Sized to 2 1/2".

Dubias are easy to keep and breed. Most of my leos will eat them, especially the freshly molted white ones. I was a little scared when I first got them, I don't even want to get them out from the shipping box...lol. Now I'm used to them, I can even grab them bare handed! But the jumping/flying males are still very freaky! You can wear a pair of latex gloves when you need to handle them.

Me too. Although I gotta admit i was surprised when I got them. Not disgusted, but like...Wow, I payed $40 for these?

LOL!! same here.

I spent years trying to get RID of these in my apartment living days.
And the fact that those where a different variety doesn't help!

Now, here I am PAYING to own some!! :main_rolleyes:

do you never go back because they wont take anythign else after that or just because dubia are so easy to use?

Dubia Roaches are the light at the end of the tunnel. They don't smell, don't climb, don't climb. You Rarely need to clean them and breed like rabbits. The only downside is they do not breed as fast as some of the Egg layers such as Hissers or Lobsters.

Argh sadly when I tried the roach she wasn't hungry. I think she might be going into her first shed here. She was rubbing against the furniture and it getting a little paler. Can't wait until this is OVER so I can see if it really works!

I was really angry since it took me around 15mins to get a freaking roach out with a index card and plastic cup!!!

I beg to differ.
