hi all
need a little help here. i have two shop purchased parents, the mail is a tremper giant albino, and the female i believed is a blizzard (sold as a lucestic). i have paired these this year and have got het blizzards-het albino so far---(see first pic.) which is what i expected.
however i have just had this hatch (see pic 2), now i know this proves that the blizzard must also be het albino, but surley it must still show the "het bliz" spots, or am i mistaken, and they wont show on a albino.
has anyone had any experience with albino het bliz hatchlings. or is it poss a blazing blizz?
any help will be much apreciated....
rob..

If your belief is that there is some outwardly visible "marker" that an animal is het for a genetic trait, I think there's a misunderstanding. You can't tell if an animal is het for a genetic trait simply by its appearance. Only breeding will tell you what traits a gecko is heterozygous for.

OK. In that case it appears to be Tremper Albino. And assuming the female is indeed a Blizzard, it's het for Blizzard. If the female is Patternless, then it's a Tremper Albino het for Patternless. :main_yes:

The "het bliz" speckly spots are something that frequently occurs with geckos that are het blizzard, but it is NOT a for sure 'tell' that a gecko is het for blizzard...any type of gecko can display tiny speckles :)
