Quick question... This is my first year working with the raptor morph I have gotten 3 nice...... I think the proper term for them is APTOR het raptor= Raptor X Tramper jungel het rrs please correct me if i am wrong... they all came out looking great nice bright yellow/orange patty but what is throwing me off is the eye color both parents were tremper albino strain and from what i have seen of the trempers i have, they tend to have the golden color eye but thies hatchling have black/silver eye all 3 do is this norm? if not what could cause this black/silver to come out in a albino all are females incubated at 79 f for roughly 2 months to the lay date

I would just say A.P.T.O.R., het R.A.P.T.O.R., or R.A.P.T.O.R. just which ever they are.

You know I couldn’t answer this, it sounds like from your description that you got eclipse geckos from A.P.T.O.R., het R.A.P.T.O.R. x A.P.T.O.R., het R.A.P.T.O.R. Some should have the eclipse eye gene, but the eye should be red, not black, due to the albino gene. Maybe posting pics would help.

now the blood line in thies 3 are

Father- R.A.P.T.O.R. 2 SOLID RED EYE
MOTHER- TREMPER JUNGLE HET RRS

So this this should make thies little ones APTOR het RAPTOR? correct? and if so how are there eyes that blakc/silver color

That's usually how they look when you incubate them that low. As always, some are genetically lighter, and some are genetically darker. My Raptor male has eyes that appear black--like red food coloring (when its in the bottle)

I would say it was your incubation temp, the same thing happened to me. I myself hatched out two albino's, one a rsa and the other came out jungle. Neither of them have the albino eye like their sibling who was my first clutch because of the temp i incubated them at. They both have the 'grey' eye you're talking about.

Cool thanks for the info still makes me wounder why an albino would be able to produce the black pigments. Just seems odd to me but that prob because i have not had many albino hatchlings in the past learn something new everyday. Thanks again all for the help.
