Eye Problem after bad shed.

I have a juvenile leopard gecko who recently had a bad shed...The skin on the head and eyes was EXTREMELY difficult to remove. I bathed and Q-Tipped it all off, but while it was on it looked very painful and uncomfortable around the eyes. It was unable to open them until I assisted with removal. Now its left eye stays closed most of the time while the other is open...but it is able to open the eye after licking a few times...(almost as if its got permanent "sleepy-boogers" in its eye). Anyone had this problem before?...any solutions for the problem?. (sorry if this looks bad, my first post in the forum)

Thanks in advance!

It may have a tiny piece of stuck shed in it's eye. You may try very gently wiping inside the eyelids with a warm, wet q-tip. If that doesn't help you may need to consult a vet.

EYE PROBLEM

Bausch & Lomb Advanced Eye Relief, Eye Wash/eye irrigating solution ........4 fl. oz. Walmart, over the counter .....about $4 -- $5..... Start flushing the eye morning and evening until she works it on her own and it is working normal. Can get infected....I don't think you want to rely on city or well water. Keep close watch on it, no better, Vet may want her on antibiotics.
