Hi, I was playing around with my camera today and decided to take some of my geckos. In two of them I've noticed problems and hope I can have some advice please.
First up is Mojo. He has something in his eye, but I don't know what. Might be shed skin? I thought I saw something last week but then he would blink and I couldn't see anything. How do I remove it? Does his eye look swollen to you? I can't tell if he just has bigger eye lids or they are swelling up a little. Both eyes look about the same but being albino he rarely keeps his eyes open for long during the day.
And then we have Sweety. I may be worried over nothing here but it doesn't seem right to me. She has little white spots on her head and above her eyes. Her right side is 'worse' then the left. At first I thought it was just bits of shed, but after getting her out today I can see they are perfect little spots. I then thought it was calcium but they don't rub off. It looks like I've dabbed paint on her. What are they? I'm worried they are some kind of skin infection or external parasite or something!!
She's not in the best of health at the moment anyway. I've noticed her weight starting to drop and put this down to a lack of food. She shares with two other females and they can be a bit dominant. I added extra food dishes and that worked for a bit. Now she's ovulating and has already laid a pair of eggs so I'm really worried now. She has never been mated with a male and the other two are definitely female as they are ovulating too.
So, any advice please?
