I would think this is the right topic to post this question in.. We just noticed that our offspring from a Mack Snow and Line Bred Snow cross have some interesting eyes. We have four babies so far, and all of their eyes look the same (ranging from 2.5 weeks to 7 weeks old).. I guess they could change? We only have pictures of one of the baby's eyes because we don't have the digital camera to take photos of the others' at the moment.. We'll have it again in a few days, so we can update with more eye pics later :main_yes:

here are a few shots of one hatchling's eyes:

and then here it is close up, with the negative.

and we have three other offspring from the same father, different mother, and those hatchlings do not have eyes like this... hmmm... ??? ANY thoughts, we really have no clue here.. thanks!

We've had lots of babies hatch with those white rings around the pupil. It's happened with all different morphs for us. It seems like they fade after a few months.

Thank you David :D

Okay Mel, we had just never noticed it before and saw it in some of our digital pics!! Thought it was weird that it wasn't in any other hatchlings except from those two parents. That answers our question unless the eyes don't change (we hope they don't change because we're really diggin' those eyes!!) I guess we will wait and see what happens along with everything else! Thanks :)

I have seen a few pics of adults (all mack snows) that still have that white around the pupil, and it was a lot more, as if it increased with age.. so I don't know
