Very nice, Johannes! That's awesome that you got them all to pose on that rock like that. I'd really like to have some WC blood for outcrossing :)

Thank you for your nice words.
Yeah...it's real fun to work with wild caughts. You always get big and healthy hatchlings.

Great pics!! How do you get them to stay still to pose for you? Cute babies and very nice pics (and the rock is nice too).

OK... Let us in on your magical traits! How did you get them to pose?! I can't even get ONE to hold still long enough for a photo! How the heck did you get all 3; and in half of the pictures, they're actually paying attention! ...Oh I'm thoroughly impressed!

Sorry for the late replay...but there was lot of work to do for school the last week.

Submit those for the calendar, they are awesome pics!
No problem. Marcia can use my fotos for the calendar if she wants to.

Well...Pauls trick with the cup is not working on a stone. So what you need to do is to read your animals. You have to know about their personalities before you take fotos.
And normals are the simplest to fotograph:
Patternless: are realy tame when you handle them, but always move in the wrong moment if you take pictures
(Super) Hypos: some of them are realy catchy to take pictures of, because they love to run away
Blizzards: probably the hardest morph to photograph. always running and moving
Normals: the best "morph" to take pictures of.They are realy tame on your hand and do not run away immediately.
--> this are rules that count most of the time.

Well, and how do I make them not to move? Instead of a cup, I just use my hand. Put your hand directly in front of their face.If you take it away and have the camera ready, the won't move for a while. And if you are lucky, they let you take manny pics because they like to chill on the stone you put them on ;)
And of course you need a good camera and good lighting.

Regards, Johannes

Great pics and beautiful babies

I do have one question
If WC means wild caught (And maybe I am on the wrong track here)
Where does one buy wild caught Leos these days?
Thanks for any replies on this one

In Europe they sometimes send shipments to Germany. I dont know if they send them to other parts of the world... (i believe the topic opener is also from Germany?)
