I've found that superworms and dubia roaches especially are good for putting HEALTHY weight on a gecko. I've had HUGE results feeding dubias as a staple. I can post before and after pictures if you'd like...

Clark, the day I brought her home:

Clark exactly one month later, steady diet of dubia:

She is now up to 58 grams and doing fantastic. When offered dubia or mealworms, she won't look twice at the worms.

Holy COW. That's a huge difference.
Since I do have a baby Leo here too, I should really get some Dubias..
Any sites i should go to, to order some? How many to order? Are they easy to keep?
I should look all this us.

Thanks for the advice!

I've said it many many times...the nutritional benefit of feeding dubias is HUGE. That literally was one month difference: 9-25-08 and 10-27-08.

Deanna - there are quite a few dubia breeders, a couple here on the site too actually. Just do your research :) They are VERY easy to keep. Most breeders include a care sheet on their website, or at least basic instructions. It's so very worth it!

When I move out of my current home, I think I'll try breeding them for my babies. Currently, my in-laws draw the line at keeping roaches. :\ For now, supers do just fine. :>

this sounds interesting. Do you feed these out of bowl or drop them in like Crix?
