Fecal Question (smell?)

I have a male leopard gecko and since I received him (2 months ago)I have noticed his feces has a slight musky smell to it. He seems to be eating fine, a little less than usual but pretty close to the same amount (6-8 large crickets or large mealworms every other day). His feces looks normal, its not runny but maybe a little darker than before(more black than brown with normal urate). The other day he shed his skin and ate it. Then that night he regurgitated about 8-9 mealworms that he had eaten after eating his shed that day. I have read different posts that say their feces should not have any odor is this true?

Just deciding if I should take him to the vet or wondering if he just had an upset stomach from eating his shed and then his dinner.:main_huh:

Regurgitation could be because he ate too much but if you said that he usually eats that amount then he might be sick.

I recently took one of my geckos to the vet who had smelly runny poop and was not eating or when she did eat she regurgitated her food back up undigested. She had internal parasites and is on meds now and doing better.

I would suggest keeping an eye on your gecko and if symptoms get worse taken him to the vet to get a fecal float.
