well, sweet little bowser has his vet appointment at 9:30 in the morning. he's refused food for 2 days now & from what i've read from other people with the same problem he may have a very mild case of pinworms. sooo, just to be safe we're going to go ahead and check him over. my family is confused as to who actually takes lizards to the vet LOL. my mother called today to ask me if vets even treat lizards because she thought they were too fragile and that people usually just buy new ones if theirs die. we're obviously very attached to him already and so off to the vet he goes. a question though, he hasn't had a stool for the past few days since he's refused food again so how do i go about getting a fecal test even done? and has anyone had any experience with Reptaid instead of the hardcore panacur meds if he actually does have parasites? i've read that it being an herbal approach that it is a lot easier on them compared to basic dewormers.we would have taken him to the vet today but the herp vet wasn't in until tomorrow morning. it's nothing urgent seeing as he's still being active but he needs to be growing more.

also, to add to this, i'm pretty sure he has had this since we got him because he has been pretty picky with his food and eats the bare minimum. he's not thin but he's definitely not eating like i've seen baby beardies.

I'm glad youre taking him to the vet.
I dont believe repti aid treats parasites.
Panacure isnt 'hard core'. I dose all my geckos with it once a year as a preventive measure, and they all tolerate it no problem.

i've just read from some people that their lizards got sicker from the medicine. i'm not sure if he even has them but i was just looking up my options treatment wise.
