feeding half-way point?

Just curious - some of my kids seem to fill up the throat area with the mealies - kind of a half-way point before the food goes on down to the tummy. Hope you understand what I mean. I especially notice it with my little guy, Chance. This is the process - eat a couple of mealies, throat area fills up, then a big swallow, then ready for more mealies. (Is this making any sense?)

my leo does this with crickets, he eats maybe 2 or 3 then swallows then goes for more. So I'm sure it's normal.

Yep, some of mine do that too with roaches (or crickets); catch a roach real quick, then seem to just "store" it in the throat area and immediately strike for another one. Then swallowing after his "throat bag" is full; but then he'll have to twitch his neck and body to get the whole thing down.

Sounds like you was looking in my window on Thanksgiving, lol, but of course it wasn't mealies it was turkey, lol. No, it seems perfectly normal mine do the same thing.
