Feeding Ideas? Please

Okay, as I am sure many of you have read or perhaps experienced, my little lady Kiya has stopped eating. I am not positive exactly why and I am currently working on getting something to control the temps in her environment.

She has not been eating her cricks for a while. I have tried lessening the amount I put in at once, thinking maybe that would help and I have also tried giving her smaller ones, thinking maybe it was the size she wasn't liking. No luck! She is still not really eating. Her mealworms are usually something she would eat regardless, however it seems to me like she has pretty much stopped eating those too. I did feed her two supers the other day which she promptly gobbled up. Her feces is still normal, consistency hasn't changed at all and she is going regularly.

Yesterday I tried giving her another cricket which I had dusted with Reptivite, which she had never had before now to my understanding. At first it seemed like she was going to take it. She lundged at it and got it into her mouth and then she dropped it. I was thinking perhaps it has something to do with the reptivite.

So, my question is, is there anything I can do with the reptivite (such as putting some in with her bowl of calcium perhaps) to make her take it without putting it on cricks? Or is there something I can do so she will eat cricks with the reptivite on them? Or do you have any ideas to jog her appetite, or perhaps ideas as to why she may have stopped eating as usual? (Like I mentioned before I am working on getting something to control the temp of the UTH. Currently it is usaully between 80 to 84 degrees F)

If so please give your advice.
Thanks!

It could be a number of things. First, be sure to get the temperatures under control, colder than normal temps will effect digestion. Changing the supplement may have done it too. You can offer a dish of the supplement in her enclosure and she'll eat it as she needs it, most likely. She may also be spoiled from the waxies, when she is hungry enough I think she'll eat again. Overall I'd say there are to many changes for her to deal with all at once. Get those temps under control a.s.a.p.

I didn't really change all that much recently. She is used to eating crickets with calcium powder. I now don't dust the crickets with that, I dust them every 2nd or 3rd day with Reptivite instead. There is a dish of calcium in her environment at all times which she has gone and eaten from. I fed her two supers a couple days ago and haven't since. I will definitely getting her temps under control when I have the money to do so, lol. Hoping that will help.

It is more the reptivite I need ideas for. Can I mix a tiny bit of that in with her calcium?

Your ambient air temps need to be brought up into the mid 80s through out
the cage... If you are using an all glass aquarium, it can be hard to maintain proper temps...
I am not sure what it will take to get people to understand how important ambient air temps are...
If you get those temps up where they should be, your gecko will go right back to eating properly... If you do not up the heat, you will just have to deal with your animal not feeding properly..

If you want to raise the ambient air temp, try using a red bulb on the side where your UTH is. It heats it up enough, but you still have the cool side in case they want to cool off a bit.

I've never really had to control any of my temps before, I just plug in the UTH, and turn on his red lamp, then at night just turn off the red light so he just uses belly heat to digest.
