Feeding Mealies

Currently I feed mealies oats and whole bran cereal. I was wondering if I should put potateos and carrots or apples with that? I heard the veggies are good for moisture, but are oats and cereal enough?

I like to add carrots to the mix. Sometimes potatoes or apples, all just depending on what we have at the house. It adds to the nutrition and prevents them from eating each other to get moisture. Apples give the room a nice apple fragrance.
