I see people say there gecko eats like 10 mealworms a day as an adult. My gecko is 1 year old female and she eat 3-5 mealies each day so is this bad, good or normal?:main_huh:

the adults tend to eat less than the hatchlings and juvies. As long as your girl is a healthy weight, there's nothing to worry about

So long as their fat reserves are being maintained and they are not showing any signs of nutritional disorders like MBD then I see no reason to worry if they eat less.

Mine happen to be pigs and stuff themselves silly

yeah and well, i find if there's food always availble that they slow down eating and dont eat as much/often, my girls are the same i'll put 2 doz in there or so and between the 2 usually takes them 2-3 days to eat them sometimes hehe.

It's really not the best idea to leave crix in the cage for more than a few hours..

I second that, i left a couple in my tank for a couple days once and it stressed Gary out bad, he went on a hunger strike for over a week and thats what i blame for it. If your going to leave them there for a while I pluck the back legs off and put them in a very smooth dish they cant climb out off, they just scurry around in circles, i find this way better then mealworms in a dish, it gets his attention much easier.
