I have a new leopard gecko I got it on 8-7-2010 and it only ate about 3 worms since I had it can the temperature be the cause it not to eat I am kinda worried about it
I got mine 8-16-10 and i havent seen him eat. The day that I got him, they said he was fed and today is now thursday. I would suppose he is hungry now but Im just letting him get comfortable and learn his new home maybe he will eat today when i try to feed him
Off temperature is on of the main reasons Leos don't eat. Age, illness, stress, and ovulation are other reasons. What are your tank temps? Keep in mind that older Leos eat less and tend to take longer to settle in than juveniles.
The warm side is in the high 90's should I lower the temperature..I have them in the 55 gallon aquarium.I don't know what the temperature is on the cool side.

Them? How many Leos are in the tank? Did you get them all at the same time and have they all been quarantined? 55G is pretty big for a young gecko and being housed with other geckos can also cause a lot of stress. Some people keep their high temps in the mid-upper 90's but unless the room they're in is really cold (below 70F) then low-mid 90's is fine.
If you got the one on the 7th of this month then you did not quarantine it! Quarantine is 30 days minimum. That would put it in solitaire till september 7th which is 18 days from now!
