One of my females, Amber, seems to have a weight problem. I feed her mealworms whenever she'll eat them, and sometimes crickets. No matter how much she'll eat, she stays between 50 and 54 grams. Do you guys think that she's just a small female? She's 50 grams last night and her tail isn't that thick as I would want it. I'm thinking she may have pinworms or something, and if it calls for it, then I will bring her to the vet. She has an undertank heater, yes, and on paper towels. I'm just worrying that something may be wrong, please help! Thanks.

It never hurts to get an occasional fecal done. BUT, I think that they are all different as to weight ( alot like us unfortunatly). I have one female that never gets over 45 grams and she is 2 years old. She has had fecals and the vet says she is just a small gecko.

I doubt there is anything wrong with her. I have a bell enigma female that won’t go above 34 grams, but she isn’t unhealthy in any way. I would assume the situation is similar with your gecko.

I'm sure that as Halley said everything is fine. I am just probably an overly causious person. We get yearly fecals done and the vet gives me a discount.
