i dont understand whats wrong with her, a guy at petco told me it could have been too much heat, but it still doesnt change the fact that shes really dark, and has a lot of dark spots in her body
this is what she looks like right now:eek::(

Are her temps high enough? Does she have an under tank heater? I've heard that this can happen if they're cold.

Edit to add: I just read that stress can cause this too.

If your geckos are fighting, the dominate one can keep this one away from its heat source. If the gecko is too cold, they can become darker.

I would buy a new tank and house them seperately.

^ Very good advice.

What are you housing her on? I have quite a few tangerines that got moved from tubs with white paper towels to a darker tile flooring and their color changes. There was a thread about it a while back if you search for it.

im housing them on a 20 gallon long tank, and she is the dominnant one, but its weird that they tend to, get along at times, and then out of nowhere it happens.

ALL tangerines lose their color as they grow and breed. Their color is dependent on several things:
- genetics
- temperature
- substrate color
- stress level

The will do best when they are on belly heat (no overhead heat or light!) at 90-94 degrees F, on white paper towel, and housed individually. (It also helps to get a tangerine from a good bloodline...)
