I've taken on a job at my son's preschool. This week is the letter "R".

Ferrous gets to come to school with me today for show & tell. Fret you not the kids (ages 3-5) will not be handling him at all. I'm bringing him in cage & all.

So do you think they can pronounce "rhacodactylus"?

I bet they'll LOVE him. You'll probably be getting lots of angry phone calls tonight from parents that don't want to get a pet gecko for their child. LOL Have fun teaching them about the wonderful world of herps!

OMG! The kids were hysterical! My son Jake, 5, was so proud to be able to show his school one of our pets. He was not happy that I wouldn't bring Hidey McGecko to school. His leo is not ready for a public adventure.

Ferrous wowed the whole crowd. They loved seeing him jump into his home & swing on the vines. It was very cool. He'll definitely be getting a fresh batch of crickets this weekend.

You only feed him fresh crickets if he preforms well??? haha, just kidding! Thats great that you showed them a crestie. Knowledge is the key to having people raise their pets healthy. Im glad you showed them an interesting pet.

That is wonderful. I have a daycare and my DC kids love the lizards. They all like to go watch me check hides and water in the mornings. One of the little 4 year olds knows all the geckos names....no small feat since we have 22 all together.
