Five of my pair's first seven eggs hatched into beautiful, healthy babies. They are grown and have been re-homed. As for the other two, one was completely infertile, the other had a dead embryo in it.
Next came two clutches of two eggs - all infertile. I was about ready to hang it up for the year when another baby hatched last night. Is it normal for clutches to go through lapses of infertility? What could be the cause of this? In any case, I still have four possibly viable eggs and then I think I'll split them up. Bob
