nah that might actually even help him get used to you. if he can go about doing what he normally would do, and hear you, but not see you, it might get him more used to the fact that you are near him.

Oh!
I hope we wont get tooooo skinny in these few weeks comming up! but i will do my best to leave him be. i have to admit, this will be kind of hard since he is in my room and im either on the phone or watching hulu on my computer, so he will hear my voice or other people voices. i hope this doesnt slow the process.:main_no:

You should have other places to go... I doubt you are 100% confined to your room all the time. Your living room if you have a home or apartment, your study room or lobby if you're in a dormitory, even if you live in a studio loft you have the option to stay on the complete other side of the loft and that should be fine.

He'll be OK left alone. He'll eat what he needs to when he needs to. It was hard for me learning the basic feed every other day! Because I feel like my girl is always hungry, but I'm going by what my reputable breeder raised her on and has raised many geckos on, so I know she's going to be healthy.

It can be hard, but you gotta leave your leo be, just change the water, and food when you need to, otherwise do your best and stay away from your tank. In a little while they might have warmed up to you and want to see you, but for now it just sounds like they'd like piece and quiet :D

i have a UTH and a red light and a day light. i only use the day light during the morning hours before switching on the UTH and then the red bulb for night viewing.

Not sure if anyone told you yet, I was just reading through real quick, but you are supposed to leave the UTH on all the time, dont switch it on and off. Only the lights go on and off to give them a day/ night cycle.
