Fighting geckos?

I have two baby leos together. One of them is very aggressive, I think possibly a male I haven't been able to tell when I tried to sex it. I have switched out another gecko housed with it because it stopped eating. The new one also would not eat. Currently I have separated them to see if that is the main problem, and before I run out and get another setup and supplies I was wondering if it is possible that a gecko is too aggressive to ever be housed with another. I understand a lot about canine behavior and it seems like an alpha male just being dominating but not sure if an adult one would make it better behaved.

Nope, it's definitely possible that a gecko can be too aggressive to house with any other gecko. And it doesn't have to be male, either. You'll get aggressive females once and a while.

I have the same problem except it's because one's much bigger. Take the advice I got and seperate them somehow.

I don't think housing it with an adult is the answer either, the adult might bully or eat the smaller one. I've been advised that if you house two leos together it's best to make sure they are of equal or similar size.:main_thumbsup:

Separate them before the more passive one stops eating completely and/or becomes injured. Geckos definitely establish a pecking order and the more dominant one can intimidate the other one... especially over territory and food.
