Hi folks!

I'm Aminah and I have a Zoo! :D

Actually, I do quite a bit of rescue with various reptiles and other "exotics". I have a few snakes, some big lizards and little ones ..a few geckos, if you consider them in a "class" of their own.. a tortoise and a turtle, some amphibians ...various rodent children (rats, mice, a robo and some pigs), as well as chickens, "bugs", a few freshwater setups and a full marine set up.. FOWLR.. with a Puffer!

Amongst my menagerie of "kids", I have 3 female Leopard geckos..

Carmela Boogy.. she likes to dance! I got this little diva when she was just a teeny squirt. She's really supposed to be an "educational" gecko. It's just easier to give husbandry advice if you have the species in your own collection. :p

Chica BoomBoom ..you can't see it here, but this little lady gots BACK!! This big girl was no longer of interest to her previous human, so she came here and she resides with Carmela. Her only issue is a slight overbite, but since she won't be bred, it's of no consequence.

Cleome Lutea ..she's named for a very pretty yellow desert flower. I haven't had her long, but she came here as a little neglected chica with serious eye issues and toeless.. completely toeless! Her eyes are almost normal again.. blinking and clear.. after a lot of daily TLC ..pure saline flushes and antibiotics.. but I don't think her toes will return. :main_rolleyes:

Now.. I'll go back to my lurking :main_yes:

Welcome to geckoforums.net, Aminah! Leos do just fine without their toes surprisingly and it's great that you got her eyes cleared up. It's so nice to see you taking in geckos that deserve to have a loving home!

Thanks, everyone ..for the kind welcome and the comments. :)

I really appreciate the reassurance regarding Cleome's toes, as well. It's good to know that she'll be okay without them.

If you'd like to see some pics of my Zoo kids, you can see a few on http://www.reptilegeeks.com/aneesasmuse :D

Okay... so I still don't know where the link to pics of my Zoo went ..the disappearance kind of makes one of my sentences look like I fell asleep in the middle ot it :p

Once I figure out if it's cool, or not cool, to post links to our own sites or not.. I guess I'm not reading the TOS correctly... I'll post more. :hat:
