Substrate for the tank is eco earth & the leftover beaked moss I had from when I used to keep moss in my geckos' moist hide. A Flukers "Goovy Jacuzzi" as a water dish & place to soak him/herself in. Very small heat mat under the hide on the left side - the "warm" side. I have a 50 watt bulb and 5.0 UVB bulb. (thanks to Lady_Kiya for helping me with the wattage of the heat bulb). I need to get a few plants, it's kinda bare right now. The video is here & here (tried to combine them but youtube won't upload those correctly) and here's the pics:

The tank

& here he is (or she, but I'll probably just end up calling it a he - it's hard to tell the sex of them)

Now I have to figure out what to name him AND my female leopard gecko, hmm... But I am thinking of either Ember or Agni for my skink. Ember is obvious. Agni is a Hindu god of fire (from what I googled) but I mainly got it from Devil May Cry 3, which is a flame sword you get when you beat these guys

What size tank do you have for it? I'd love to get one but I don't know that I have room for any more.

I have him in a 30 gallon long (or thats what someone told me on here, its 36 inches long, 18 inches wide and 13 inches tall) that I got off of someone for free. From what I've read, one would be fine in a 20 gallon long. Either way, its way bigger than the 10 gallon he was in at the shop.

YaY, another Fire skink owner! I love my boy, his name is Mosaic. He's totally cool, he begs for superworms and he loves roaches. he spits out crickets (hates them) and won't eat silkworms though!
Thats a great looking set up you have there.
Here's a pic of mine when I had him quarantined of paper towels:

He was really sick when I first got him, but he's fully recovered and is totally fun! Good luck with yous, I'd like to see updates! :D

Thanks for the comment. Your boy is so cute! I'm not sure what mine is, but I tend to call it a he. I decided to name him Agni after all. So far mine's pretty active and doesn't see like there's anything wrong with him, he loves superworms and crickets. Never tried silkworms though. He is super skittish though, but I'm hoping he'll come to associate me with food so he won't freak out when I come near. I know he'll probably never be as tame as my geckos but that's ok. I will try to get more pics of him if he ever calms down any lol I also plan on getting plants (most likely fake, not sure if I'll do live ones) or something to give him more places to hide when he's not under the eco earth. My mom says he's boring because he's hardly ever out but I love him all the same. Plus it makes the times I do see him that much better I guess haha
