it seemed like the account activation would never come! haha in all truthfulness it was less than 24 hours but ive been wanting to post all night!

well ill start things off with myself. my name is andrew and im 21 years old. my biggest hobbies would be cars, reptiles and inverts. ill break down my modest collection for yall here...

0.1.0 bearded dragon
0.0.3 tanzanian tailless whip scorpions
0.1.0 giant black african millipede
0.0.1 assassin bug (wheel bug)
1 fledgling termite colony
1 small sugar ant colony
1 larger garden snail... its both genders :)

and im getting set up for a gargoyle gecko. im building its adult habitat, but i wont be able to get one at all until i can get a dedicated circuit or something for my window mounted a/c. it gets hot here in texas and my room is exposed on 5 sides. (its over the carport) the temp. stays in the low 80s which is too hot. if i try to use my a/c i pass the limit for my circuit breaker and trip it. so until then... ill just have to wait.

im sorta proud of the gargoyle geckos enclosure project. its not finished yet, but this is what ive got so far.

i still need to properly run the electrical, screen off behind the vents, cover the left "utility" side, and i want to redo the plexiglass front. in stead of 2 doors in the "forest" area, i want one big one. i also want to find some sort of clear hinges and hooks, so i dont have those brass ones on there.

and now finally for the main reason why i signed up for a leopard gecko forum :) i want to keep and breed a small number of them. ive been looking at mack snows and super snows, and they seem fairly simple as far as genetics go. when you start getting into the complex stuff that go way down the genetics tree branching off in all different directions... well i still cant wrap my head around that. my biggest worry with breeding, though, is finding buyers. i dont want to breed a pair and end up with a mix of 15 or so mack snows and super snows and not have anyone to sell them to.

so i guess thats it really. questions, comments, whatever you want, feel free to reply and make me feel all welcome and stuff :D

Welcome to GF. Your garg encloser is looking really good. :main_thumbsup: Leopard geckos are a blast to have and enjoy. If your worried about not selling babies then don't breed. There are some very awesome breeders on this site from Texas. But in general all the breeders here are awesome :D

Welcome :) I'm new too.

Your enclosure looks neat! Did you make the front with the round door? Looks cool but I'm sure it's hard to get stuff in there. :)
I remember seeing plexiglass hinges at Lowes. :)

it is a bit difficult to work in, which is partly why im replacing the front. i guess i shouldnt have said worried, more like concerned. as i have no experience with the supply and demand of the different morphs, i dont really know what sells well and what doesnt, though im sure demand is going to change over time. basically i dont know if leos are going to fly off the shelves, so to speak, or if they wont draw any interest. ive been wanting to breed for years, im just not sure how to get any experience with the market without putting myself out there is all.
