Hey everyone. First off I hope everyone has a great and safe New Years. Also I have been a member for a few months and everyone so far has been a great help. I'm 15 and have my first Leopard Gecko (Alamo) I finally was able to learn how to upload photos to show everyone. So here he is. I got him around my birthday back in October and he didn't have a tail. I heard you shouldn't purchase a gecko that didn't have a tail. But I thought he was cute and tail or no tail he was going to be mine.

Also his cage looks a little drab. I want to get the temps straightened out before I worry about what all I'm putting in his cage.

Happy New Year!!

You got a 100% carrot tail here! :main_thumbsup: Very nice gecko! :main_yes: Of course you can purchase a gecko without a tail. It will grow back. You shouldn't purchase a gecko with a THIN tail (that's probably what the person meant who told you), because that means either malnutrition or disease/parasites.
