Yep, they produce hormones that stunt the growth of other tadpoles so they have to be kept separately. Cannibalism is also a somewhat common occurrence, though not as often as with thumbnail type dart frogs.

Not very often. I think I have done a 50% water change once since they went in the water.

The tads are getting huge, and I found another clutch today that looks good.

That's cool. My girlfriend is hoping her Firebelly Toads will mate and lay some eggs sometime soon. She would be very excited to see a sight like that in her aquarium. There has been mating just no eggs fertile or otherwise yet!

They are getting sneaky and hiding the eggs in the leaf litter, must be tired of me stealing them.
