The last three Bell clutches bombed out on me so I'm yet to hatch another this season... Maybe I'll get lucky on the next MS het Blizzard 50% het Bell x MS het Blizzard 50% het Bell eggs? :main_laugh:

those speckles inside the patches of darker color on the back make me think of the dotted texture on a basketball, lol

Definitely, but I won't be selling any from this project until they are 2-3 months of age. This is because they can't be truly appreciated until you see a good amount of adult coloration and pattern.

Pretty cool huh?!

Although this is the first hatchling from my BSB* project I'm sticking my neck out and assuming the spotting/speckles is genetic (probably dominant). With that said, I believe this hatchling and his father show two pattern traits; speckled from the founding Mack Snow het Bell male and spotted from the founding Bell female...

Here's a spotted one without speckles...

And this hatchlings father with spots and speckles...

* BSB stands for Black Spot Bell... Since the name gets a lot of flack for really not fitting I'm thinking of changing it to Bold Spot Bell... :main_thumbsup:
