Well i got my first 2 Leo eggs ever and have them in the Hova bator! I must say they are much bigger then i thought. I have it set to 85 degrees hoping for a mixed bag, im kinda nervous on weather i did this correct or not, i hope i did 1 vermiculite to .8 water mix.

Is there anything else i should know or do?

I only have 1 question will the slight temp fluctuation be bad? It swings within 1 degree temp example 84.3-85.1 roughly .8 swing , oh and how long should i expect before they hatch at current temps?

My temps vary by about 1 degree and everything has been ok so far. At 84/85, mine have hatched around 45 days.

Good luck!

IF you could have put a ziploc baggy of water in the hubovator before you got this far along, the water helps hold the temps stable. Now that it is up and running with eggs in it, it would be hard to put the water in there as it would cause the temps to change until the water reached the temp in the hubovator.

If you use warm water (but not too warm), then the temps. won't fluctuate so much and you can add the water to the incubator. We didn't have (what is called) a heat-sync in our incubator at first, but put one in once we knew about them.

Congrats on your eggs! 45 days at 84-85 degrees is what ours have been hatching at as well :)
