On Saturday Febuary 2nd I went and bought some supplies I needed in Sacramento. One of the things I was really looking for was phoenix worms. Only 2 place within an hour sell them near me East Bay Vivarium and Leaping Lizards. Since its been a good 3 months since I seen Jody Hicks I went to Leaping Lizards in Sacramento. He had everything I wanted ( it helped that I called him a few hours in advance lol). As I was picking his brain on some rack designs, his son was cleaning and feeding leopard geckos and Fat-tailed geckos. The first thing I noticed was the sale tag on it. Then I looked at the AFT. There was only 1 left not the advertised pair. Well to make the story short I came home with my very first AFT. It sure was not planed and the price was to good to pass up. She is hiding but maybe later I can get a pick of her. If I did my homework right, her care is just like a leopard just with a little higher humidity. Any and all suggestions would be aprieciated. Thanks.

Congrats on the new addition. AFTs are very similar in care to leopards im sure you will not have a problem. Good luck

I took her out of hiding :main_laugh: Thanks and enjoy. If anyone knows her morph that would be cool.

All my afts are sweethearts. But watch out. They can be real bitches too. I have had my female for 2 years and a few weeks ago she BIT me!

I've got quite a few of these. One of my favorite geckos. Actually the favorite.

Thanks Nigel. I am not sure yet. The price was too good to be true so I picked her right up. Maybe in a year if i do. If I found a male or a pair at a cool price I wouldn't turn it down. ;) I am very happy with her so far and she just walks up to my hand.

I find that usually no matter their age, AFT are so calm and so cute! Congrats on the new addition and I'm sure you'll be wanting to breed them as well, they're just as addicting as leos! :)

Thanks Katie :) I saw a male today. It was wild caught, regrown tail with a cool stripe and they wanted $100.00 for him. He was very cute, awesome temperment and friendly but I turned him down.
