First Baby Leo

I picked up a pair of female babies today, one about 3 months the other about 7 weeks. I'm going to give them about a week to settle before I even attempt to handle them, but when I first got home, I opened up the container to the older one, pet her, closed it. Then went to do that with the younger one and she gave me the nastiest hiss and tried to bite. Is that normal? These are my first geckos. I'm assuming it is, but how do you tame them to not be like that anymore? Regular handling?

Thanks, Briana

she was probably very frightened and annoyed with being moved about, it happens! just give her time to settle in and she is very young also so she has to learn. But i guess if it continues the best way to try tame her is to place your hand in the tank for a little while each day so she gets used to it. also make sure you use very slow, flowy movements so you dont frighten her! just give it time, im pretty sure she should come round especially when she is so young, its harder to tame an older animal. but give her a few weeks to settle in anyway :)

Alright, thanks so much! Its just different for me because when I got my bearded dragon, the day I brought him home it was like he...craved human attention. So to have a lizard reject me is an odd feeling. Haha!
