It hatched about five days early and is the tiniest baby I've hatched...

Solid black eyes like mom (sorry about the bad pic  )...

Once she absorbs that delicious yolk she'll be "treated" with yummy gutloaded crickets... Dang meal worm shortage...

The clutch mate's egg is dented and will probably be out soon...

Mack snow bell clutch mate. ;) Why does she have black eyes? Very cool!

Thanks guys! I wasn't too surprised about the eyes... This baby's grandpa has sired several solid eyed Mack Snows and recently my first "normal" to show the trait... I am looking forward to getting these eyes on a Bell! ;)

Although I'm incubating for females I hope one turns out male... Then I'll be able to make plenty of solid eyed Bells which I'll post on ***** Classifieds as possible Radars... :main_evilgrin: :main_laugh: Just kidding, but I will be breeding to Bells and not just double hets next year... They will be the "poor man's" Radar... :main_thumbsup:

Just thought of something... Bold Spotted Bell Enigmas with genetic solid red eyes... Mmmm!

Thank you John and Debbie!

Debbie, out of the dozen or so solid eyed Macks I hatched in the past two years only one kept pigment in it's eyes... I really hope these stay...
