leave it in there for about an hour after you find it, then gently try to scoop it up from UNDERNEATH like you would do with any of your other leos, place it in the hatchling tubs you have, just keep an eye on the yolk sack while its in the incubator.
Just make sure the hatchling did not tip over any of the other eggs in there.
All hatchlings will be a bit nippy and screamy when they first come out the egg, its their defence mechanism.

Well, the picture quality doesn't show the colors that well, but i'm guessing those two are clutchmates, & it looks like you have a normal and a little mack snow...which would mean either mom or dad is a mack snow & you proved it out...huge congrats!

i think the dad is a mack snow and so is the baby, its just they change a lot after a few sheds... and that's what mack snows look like as hatchlings, am i right?
btw congrats!

Yep, mack snow hatchlings have black and white bands. I haven't heard anything about mack snows having solid eyes, however if the hatchling has white and black bands, it's a mack snow, and you lucked out when you bought one of the parents...the wholesale dealer that sold them to the store most likely had no idea! I've seen some pretty cool morphs come out of those chain stores :)

As far as being able to tell the difference between adult mack snows and adult normals, from what i've been told it's next to impossible...you could always test-breed both parents to other normals and find out that way.

I don't think they hatched before they were supposed to, because they were incubated at 85-86 degrees and hatched on day 54-55:main_rolleyes:
