First eggs from my Urban Sunglow Group...

Hey all,

One of my Sunglow females just dropped her first pair of eggs. I raised leos quite a while back and don't remember but would like to know if the first pair a female "ever" lays is usually infertile or not? Also, I just put the male in with her for the first time only about two weeks ago. I have not witnessed any breeding, just the expected bite marks associated with it. She's about 62 grams and 10 months old and the males about the same size/age.

Any replies are greatly appreciated!

I've had it go both ways. My best breeder laid 10 two-egg clutches last year, her first year and all hatched. Her daughter's first clutch was infertile but the next 2 look good. Good luck.

This is my first year breeding, so most all of my geckos are first year breeders. Honostly id say probably 90% of my eggs were fertile so far. Ive hatched about 30 eggs already, so I would treat them like they are fertile because they very well might be

This is my first year breeding and only had one female lay. I didn't know the first two eggs where in there. The one didn't make it the other did but was born with no eye lids so we put her down. Not to long after we put her down two more hatched out. I lost two eggs they dried up before I found them. But she has layed 10 eggs and I will have 6 of the babies. So I have lost 3 and one had no eyelids. So I don't kno about the ones that didn't make it but out of 3 clutchs of 2 all 6 were fertile.

you have great hatch rates. how do you incubate your eggs??

When I bred 4 females in 2005 (their first season) all the eggs were fertile. Good luck! You're going to have some beautiful babies!
