First gecko

Hi, eveyone!
Haven't been on for quite a while, but that will change. The title of the thread says everything.
I always wanted a flying gecko, but I don't think it would be fine, since I've never had geckos before.
So, what do you think? Would it be fine to get a Ptychozoon or should I wait and get a crestie first? :main_huh:
Thanks.

PS: My birthday is in April so I have a lot of time do gather information about any species.

I had 3 flying geckos a while ago, but honestly if your just getting into geckos I would go with a crestie or leo. Nonetheless if you do your studying and research you should be fine with the flyings as well.
I will say tho that most flying geckos you find are going to be wild caught
mine did not make it to long =[
Best of luck

Like said above flying geckos are WC, they will likely have parasites. I had one a few years back and once I got the parasites off it, it did good for quite awhile but then sadly about a year later died :(. There care is fairly simple but being WC health probs are likely. If you can get rid of the parasites and stuff they make good captives from what I have heard. I do miss mine :(

I babysat one for a few months and it was quite healthy. They are adorable and I love them but the thing is they are not a species that likes to be handled. One that's use to people will tolerate it a little, but it stresses them out a lot and they really should be display animals only.
