After 8 long weeks of waiting, I finally get my first hatchling EVER! I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself!

She's from a Rainwater Patternless x Normal het Rainwater and Patty. Incubated at 80 (which should yield female, correct?)
I'm having a hard time telling though... is she a regular patternless? or patternless albino?

Either way, I love her to pieces! :D

She's VERY beautiful, and very healthy looking! Do you have a picture of her eyes? I bought what I first thought to be a Murphy Patty from a chain store (I had a weak moment lol), but turned out to be an Albino Patty because of his eye color being like that of a Tremper. Here's what my little man's eyes look like, they've gotten a bit lighter as he's aged:

Now I'm wondering how you tell the difference Halley! What's the difference between the Albino Patternless, and the Rainwater Patternless (or are they the same thing lol)? I'm confused now! (sorry to hijack your thread caskrenian).

Rainwater Albino Patternless, Rainwater Patternless, Albino Patternless, all the same thing in this case, just wording it differently :)
As I'm looking around more, from what I see pink on yellow equals an albino patternless (be it rainwater or tremper or whatever), while a brown on yellow is a regular patternless. Haha, just when I think I have my morphs down pretty well, I find something new to learn! :D

Lol ok...so I know I don't have a regular, but how do I know if it's Rainwater, or Tremper, etc? I'm so confused now! Sorry guys...

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your first little baby, and such a beauty! At first glance, she appears to be a patternless... but the eyes will tell if she's a RWPA. What a wonderful thing!

Heather, from what I’ve observed most Albino Patternless geckos seem to have pink blotches, and most normal Patternless gecko seem to be brown, much like Bethany said.

Marcia didn’t answer that way though, that’s what makes me think I might be wrong. :main_laugh: She hatches a lot of patternless geckos from what I know.

Eye shots would be great though.

Ok, did my best to get some eye shots... my camera has a hard time with macro things, and she didn't want to keep still, so these are the best I got:

And here's two more in better light

I just can't get over how tiny she is! After dealing with adult geckos for so long, having my first brand new hatchling is such a change.... little bitty gecko.

And thank you for the comments all! :)

Can't really tell from those eye pics..

But if she was born pink and yellow, she should definitely be a RWPA.. We have a normal Patty that looks like an albino now (turned pink after a few days), but it was born brown and yellow nonetheless.

Congrats!!

Here is my patty albino, Popcorn. His eyes were always a light creme color even as a baby. I guess you will have to wait and see although I think your baby is a regular his eyes seem to be a bit dark... who knows... :main_huh:

congrats on your first baby. first one is always special;) but don't get attached to the smallness of it, unfortunatly they grow up. No matter how big it gets it'll still be your baby though, whitch is why I named my first one Baby. Congrats again she's very nice.

Well I think hatchling #1 can be confirmed as RW Patternless Albino, because the second egg finally hatched out what I would definitely call a normal patternless! and the difference is night and day XD
