When I first came around here, it was only a short month ago :main_yes:

Well, I had gotten 2 leos from a Breeder which is my Wife's coworker. I wanted 2 different morphs, which is what I ended up with. A reverse strip named Pleiades, and a tremper albino named Berenice. After about 2 weeks, he called me explaining that he had a heater malfunction, and the temps in the Leos cages got too warm and that one or 2 of his other babies developed that bone deformity, from lack of calcium? he told me the name, but I cannot remember. He said to watch them carefully, make sure they get their calcium, so I did. Well, about a week later, I noticed on my reverse stripe(Pleiades) her leg and foot curled under, and each time she took a step, it just rolled under, I was so sad that she developed this, as She ate really well for me, even licked the calcium herself. He traded one out for me, and reported to me yesterday how well Pleiades is doing.

But anyways, Here are my before and after baby pics, and the newer baby---> Andromeda

Berenice last week: Only thing, I am not seeing her pattern change much at all. Was hoping to start seeing something soon! LOL excited. :D

And Here she is in the middle of her shed, She stopped so I could take a pic, then I helped her out of the rest :main_thumbsup: :

yes, they are my first actually kept by me. I have worked in pet stores, mainly Dogs, fish and reptiles, always sold them, and told people how to care for them, but never myself. Very enjoyable. I recently sold my fish tank and supplies to purchase my geckos and their habitat.

They look great! :main_thumbsup: The disease was probably MBD (metabolic bone disease). It's good that you traded for the beautiful Andromeda. Geckos with MBD often stay this way, even if the disease can be stopped; they still have bent forearms or hind legs, and drag themselves along rather than walk. It's better to have healthy geckos as first pets ;)

I like the striped tail on Andromeda :main_yes: The Tremper's pattern will change in a month or two; then, you'll see more dots coming into the bands. The pattern of the bands might stay the same.

Yes, that was it, MBD. He sent a picture of her yesterday, and she is looking really good. You can still see her little foot though a bit deformed.

I noticed andromeda's striped tail too, it had blotches, and almost looks like there is a faint stripe right down the middle of the back. Thanks for the insight on the tremper's pattern!
