Hello everybody, I haven't posted much on this forum so you probably don't know me well but I have a few questions. Here goes.

  1. My Leopard gecko Clementine (Pictured) has been gravid/ovulating for 3 weeks, is this normal?
  2. What would my babies look like if I crossed a SHTCTB het: Reverse Stripe with a 100% R.A.P.T.O.R.
  3. Is my Clementine gravid or ovulating?

1. and3. Yes, she looks gravid but probably has a bit more time to go. I find that when mine are really ready to lay you can just about see the eggs through their sides and when you look at the belly, the eggs go all the way up the sides.

2. Stripe genetics are unclear,so I'm not sure you can have a het reverse stripe. However, you would get the following range: all the babies would be het for albino. There would be a range of spotting from hypo to superhypo and possibly a range of body pattern from normal to aberrent (jungle body with banded tail) to jungle to stripe and possibly reverse stripe. Most likely all the babies would display some degree of tang.

Good luck.

UPDATE = YAY!

:D :banana: :D I found Clementine digging in her moist hide yesterday and today! I took this as a sign that i'm going to have 2 little eggs incubating in a day or two! I'm so excited! :D :banana: :D

What is the green on her stomach? Do you know? Cause my gecko has that too and she's gravid.

I agree with acpart

I am also excited too. My female knocked a ton of vermiculite out of the lay box and she should lay any day now. I can see her eggs through the side.
