First time Leo "mom"

So this is my first time owning a leo. I bought one from pets mart Friday. The first night he had what I guess is a normal "poop" but I looked in his cage tonight and he has two whole mealworms that look like they weren't digested (I'll also add I've been dusting them). On top of that he/or she hasn't been very active since the day I bought it. I'm not even sure on its age. I know I still have a lot to learn about them and my husband's cousin has owned some so he's been teaching me some things but I want to learn everything (lol). What could be causing his/hers "poop" to be like that? Is there a way I can find out how old he/she is? When is a good time to start trying to handle? My husband tried to handle the little one yesterday and it kinda "bit" his finger but I think he kinda startled the little one. If anyone could help me learn everything I need to know I will greatly appreciate it. I'm already addicted to them and want some more lol. I have pictures of "camo" (name we decided to call it since its unisex and couldn't think of anything else) on my profile.

welcome to GU and the world of geckos. Your gecko is getting used to a lot of things. It's not unusual for the young ones to hide a lot at first and not come out. It's not easy to tell age, but if you post a picture we'll try to give you an idea. About the poop, there are several possibilities:
--the mealworms in there are actually regurgitated not pooped out because the gecko ate too many (not a problem; it will adjust)
--the gecko is stressed because it's in a new place and its digestive system is a bit off

Make sure the warm spot is warm enough on the floor (low 90s --on the floor, not in the air). Leave it alone for a week and let it adjust. Check it out at night when it may come out and explore.

If it continues to poop undigested mealworms, it will need a visit to a reptile vet.

These are 3 of the best pictures I have at the moment. Could the dusting also be what is throwing off the digestive system? I think I'm gonna give it a few more days to see how the little ones poop is and if not better I think we'll be making a trip to the vet (makes me wish I was done vet school lol).

Nice pictures. Given the spotting, I'd guess it's at least 1-2 months old; that's the best I can do.
